Centuries of Charm

In 1981, Wolf Trap founder Catherine Filene Shouse restored two 18th-century barns from upstate New York using traditional techniques to create The Barns at Wolf Trap. The Barns retain their original hand-hewn beams and centuries of character. The German Barn (1725), with its rare swing beam, now houses an intimate theater, while the Scottish Barn (1791) offers a warm space for dining and receptions with artisanal food and drinks.
