Wolf Trap's Approach to Arts Integration Is Unique

Wolf Trap Teaching Artists Bring the Arts to Life

Wolf Trap teaching artists are professional artists who specialize in dance and movement, theater and storytelling, voice and music, and puppetry. They are the ambassadors of Wolf Trap's Institute program in the classroom, who partner with teachers to integrate the arts into early childhood learning. Teaching artists work across the country and internationally, from a network of more than 300 artists.

The Benefits of Arts Integration

Independent research of Wolf Trap Institute programs demonstrates that providing teachers with the tools to integrate the arts into their classrooms leads to deeper, more meaningful learning for young children.

"Having someone co-teach with me in my classroom and support me as I integrate best practices in the arts with best practices in the content areas has helped me feel confident in building my arts skills, as well as rethink my lesson instructions throughout the school day."
