Two-time Grammy winner Lucy Kalantari and her band, the Jazz Cats, put on an interactive, jazz age-inspired show all cats will dig! The group’s message highlights the joys of life, community, and resilience. Born in the Dominican Republic, Kalantari performs music in English and Spanish and aims to make both languages accessible to broader audiences.

What is that sound? Workshop

Explore the sounds around you with Lucy Kalantari & the Jazz Cats! From the sounds of nature to the sounds of each instrument in the band, children will focus on their auditory sensory system (fancy words for your ears!). Get ready to break out into Jazz Cat Corners to meet the instruments and the cats that play them. Participants can even make some sounds of their own! Best for ages 2-8.
